Jody Reppert has been the theater department advisor for Wilson High School for almost 20 years. He has worked with thousands of students and has acted, directed, or produced more than 300 productions in Pennsylvania and Arizona over the last 27 years including the Arizona division 5A state championship play TALL TALES from THE KENTUCKY CYCLE. While teaching in Arizona, Jody was twice awarded the Tempe Diablos Excellence in Teaching Award and received a prestigious teacher of the year honor from the Tempe Union High School District Governing Board. Currently he serves as an officer for the Pennsylvania Educational Theater Association, and he is pursuing his Masters of Theater Studies in Production and Design degree from the University of Southern Oregon.
As the advisor to the ambitious year-round Wilson High School theater group, The Wilson Theater Company, he has overseen the initiation of many student performance groups including: improv comedy troupe; student directed one-acts; summer, fall, and spring mainstage productions; open-mic nights; Bucks County Playhouse touring plays; children’s theater productions; productions and events for the state Thespian Festival; and many highly successful classroom performances that have been presented to all age groups throughout the district. During his tenure, the Wilson Theater Company stages more than 20 productions for the school and community including the highly popular spring musical.
