We are currently soliciting applications and resumes for upcoming productions for Set Designer, Set Construction, Set Painting, Stage Manager and Assistant Costumer. All positions are paid.
The ideal candidate(s) will be able to adhere to a timeline, think abstractly, be self motivated and directed, and have excellent communication skills. Please send a cover letter and resume to Beverly Houck.
If applying for set design, please include images of your previous work and notate which elements you were responsible for creating. Please note, upcoming productions include touring shows, outdoor productions and an indoor proscenium theater space.
Exhibiting Artists -please send Resume/ Bio, Artist Statement and three samples of current work to, Susan Rohn, Executive Director.
Volunteers – We are always looking for volunteers. For mailings, front-of-house for our productions, summer camps, special projects, and many other areas. If you are a student who needs community service hours or someone who can donate time, please call us. Your help is greatly appreciated!
Teaching – Teaching Artists resumes are accepted on an ongoing basis in all disciplines. Please contact Susan Rohn, Executive Director with your interest.
Preschool also accepts ongoing applications for the school year programs for aides and teachers, please contact Elsa Mierzejewski.
Summer Camp – many of the teaching position are filled by year-round Teaching Artists, however resumes and applications are welcomed and will be reviewed. Please contact Beverly Houck, Assistant Director.
Outreach Programs – the Institute offers multi-discipline programs at offsite locations including Neighborhood Bridges. The majority of these occur during school and immediately after school hours and are part-time. Neighborhood Bridges requires a training/ co-teaching period. All teachers must have PA Child Abuse, Criminal History clearances and FBI background checks to qualify for any of these programs. Theater Opportunities – Ongoing applications for Actors, Set Designers, Stage Managers and Directors are accepted. Please send your headshot & resume (as applicable) to Beverly Houck. Most positions receive at minimum, a small stipend.
